在被称为地球上最热的处所——卢特戈壁（地面温度最高达80.3℃）的一次探险中，科学家在一个季候性的小湖里，发现了一种新的淡水甲壳亚门物种。这一物种的名字同样来历于一个生物学家，伊朗生物学家Hadi Fahimi2018年因飞机出事不幸丧生。
作为在戈壁中发现的新物种，它天然有着非同平常的保存能力。它最多可以在完全干涸的环境下保存数十年，然后期待一次雨季的降临，在湖中涨水的时辰再次孵化。或许这种神奇生物的固执生命力，就是纪念Hadi Fahimi最好的体例。
